He stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 220 pounds. That sounds like the size of a Florida football tight end.
Well, it should as the Gators have received a verbal commitment from Sarasota High School tight end August Drews in 2020.
Drews is currently ranked as the No 120 tight end in the country by 247Sports and is the No. 279 prospect in the state of Florida.
He made his announcement on Twitter Wednesday:
“First off, I would like to thank Christ and my parents, without them none of this would be possible. I would like to thank Coach Hodges, Coach Casper, Coach Wales, Coach Battie and Coach Montgomery for all the help they have given me,” Drews said.
