The No. 2-ranked Florida Gators (23-3, 4-2 SEC) and the No. 9-ranked Florida State Seminoles (18-5, 6-1 ACC) meet for the second time this season on Tuesday at 6 PM at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
It’ll be the second of three Sunshine Showdowns of 2016, with the Gators claiming the first game in a 6-0 shutout on March 15 in Gainesville. The series finale is set for April 12 when these two squads clash in Tallahassee.
UF enters this matchup with its in-state rival after splitting four games last week 2-2. The Gators defeated Florida Atlantic 2-1 last Tuesday and SEC Eastern Division rival Kentucky 12-5 in the weekend series-opener, but then dropped the next two against the Wildcats by scores of 4-7 and 4-5 (10 innings) on Saturday and Sunday.
