The Florida Gators athletics’ department can certainly hang its head on this.
For the 11th consecutive year, the Gators have combined to finish in the top 10 of a prestigious national competition.
According to the university, Florida athletics finished third in the 2018-19 Learfield IMG College Sports Directors’ Cup standings, released Friday.
“The numerous strong finishes by Gator teams – including another NCAA title by men’s indoor track & field – led to another third-place finish in the Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup,” said Scott Stricklin, Florida athletics director, according to the university website.
