Five sweet Gator wins from the Round of 16

Florida will be playing in its 11th Sweet 16 game in program history on Friday in Madison Square Garden. The Gators are 8-2 in Sweet 16 games and have won their last seven. Friday will be Florida’s first Sweet 16 game since 2014, when the Gators advanced to the Final Four. Here are UF’s five Sweetest 16 games.

1. 2000, Duke

Duke was the No. 1 seed when the Gators rolled into the Carrier Dome with their upstart team. Duke had throttled UF a year earlier in a regular-season game. Duke had Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer and Jason Williams.
