Chris King / Alligator StaffFlorida’s secondary depth took another hit on Monday when defensive back Brian Edwards announced his intention to transfer.
Edwards, who was entering his junior year at UF, posted his decision on Twitter.
“Unfortunately, I will be entering the transfer portal and looking to further my education and athletic ability elsewhere,” he said. “This was a very tough decision for me.”
Edwards’ decision comes after a tumultuous offseason. He was arrested in May for a misdemeanor charge of simple battery following an alleged incident in which he grabbed his girlfriend by the neck.
