Could Jim McElwain be in line to be Michigan’s offensive coordinator?

Former Florida coach Jim McElwain was announced as Michigan’s wide receiver coach earlier this week. Could he already be on the verge of a promotion?

Wolverinelounge.com, a website that covers Michigan athletics, reported Friday morning that embattled offensive coordinator Tim Drevno had resigned. Drevno also oversaw the offensive line, and speculation from in the story was that recently hired offensive analyst Ed Warinner could replace him in that role. Warinner was Minnesota’s offensive line coach in 2017, but moved to Michigan in an off-field role in January. At the time, the move seemed puzzling.
