Clemson RB Demarkcus Bowman transferring to Florida

The Florida Gators have gained their fourth five-star transfer of the year as Clemson running back Demarkcus Bowman, originally from Lakeland, has confirmed he will transfer to 247Sports.com.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Bowman appeared in both of Clemson’s games this season, running for 32 yards on 17 carries, before deciding to transfer. Florida and coach Dan Mullen have made Lakeland a priority on the recruiting circuit and Bowman is the fourth Drednaught to join the Gators since winning the Class 7A state title in 2018.

Tight end Keon Zipperer, linebacker Lloyd Summerall III and defensive back Fenley Graham are also from Lakeland, as is 2021 offensive guard Deyavie Hammond, who is committed to UF and currently at Independence (Kan.
