The Florida Gators could be getting some key reinforcements ahead of an in-state rivalry game set to be played Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Defensive lineman Caleb Banks could make his season debut against USF after missing Florida's 55-0 win over LIU in Week 1.
Banks has been dealing with a lower leg injury since the tail end of training camp, when he was spotted wearing a walking boot. The defensive tackle also missed Florida's bowl game last season and this offseason's Spring Game.
Head coach Billy Napier delivered a crucial update on Banks' status ahead of Saturday's contest.
