UF pitcher Hunter Barco and center fielder Jud Fabian have been named to yet another preseason All-America team. The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has voted Barco to its first team and Fabian to its second team.
This is the fifth preseason All-American nod for Barco. He was previously named to Baseball America’s and Collegiate Baseball’s first teams and to D1Baseball’s and Perfect Game’s second teams.
The NCBWA honor marked Fabian’s fourth of the preseason. Collegiate Baseball tabbed him to its first team, while D1Baseball and Perfect Game both included him on their third teams.
Barco led the Gators with 10 wins in 2021.
