The Gators landed one of the top available players in the transfer portal when Arkansas guard Boogie Fland announced his commitment to Florida on Tuesday morning.
Fland, a 6’2, 175-pound guard out of Bronx, New York, averaged 13.5 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game in his first season at the collegiate level. Fland shot 37.9% from the field, 34.0% from three-point range, and 83.3% from the charity stripe.
After a two-month absence, Fland returned from injury in the NCAA Tournament but didn’t look like himself, scoring six points against Kansas and St. Johns before failing to score in just nine minutes vs Texas Tech in the Sweet 16.
