At one time, Florida’s 2019 class was ranked No. 1 in the country, but since McElwain’s dismissal, the class has unraveled and suffered nine decommitments. Eight of the nine decommitments came from Florida high school players, with half coming from south Florida prospects.
Four of the decommitments were by national top-100 prospects from Florida – WR Frank Ladson of Homestead South Dade, DL Jaquaze Sorrells of Largo High, OLB Jaleel McRae from IMG Academy in Bradenton (originally from Daytona Beach area) and ATH Tyrique Stevenson of Homestead South Dade.
