The Florida Gators have signed a construction contract with Brasfield & Gorrie for a $64.5 million renovation to the O'Connell Center, the school announced today.
The project will be funded by Florida and its University Athletic Association. The renovation is scheduled to start this spring and finish in December 2016. The Gators' men's basketball team will play around the state next winter until the project is completed.
The arena's renovations include new premium seating areas, a new scoreboard and an updated fan concourse.
