The Florida Gators coaching rumors have been full steam ahead since the firing of Jim McElwain. Big name coaches have been thrown into the mix such as Chip Kelly, Scott Frost and many more. Steve Spurrier On Chip Kelly Going to Florida
The rumors of Chip Kelly being the main target for Florida aren't true, well that is according to Steve Spurrier. Spurriers's comments from Football Scoop on the Buddy Martin Radio Show this Wednesday were;
"The coach we're going to hire is probably, I would almost 100 percent say, is coaching his team today, this weekend and through the end of the season, and maybe through a bowl game."
The Ol' Ball Coach has been retired from coaching for several years but is still heavily involved in Florida athletics. The issue with the comments is it contradicts everything we've been told about Kelly going to Florida.
Florida Offical Twitter Responds
The verified Florida Football Twitter account tweeted out on Thursday this tweet amongst the coaching chaos rumors.

It appears that the Florida athletic department has had enough of the rumors and wants to remind everyone of the comments made by AD Scott Stricklin at his last press conference.
Top 10 Recruiting Class
Even with the coaching rumors chaos, Florida has a chance to land a top 10 recruiting class which they haven't done in the last four seasons. According to SEC Country Florida has 18 commits and if they can keep the commitment list fully intact, landing most of the recruits on the list they would sign a top 10- class for the first time during a coaching transition.
The hope is by landing a big name coach like Chip Kelly or UCF's Scott Frost that would attract an even better-recruiting class for the 2018 season.
