3 Reasons Why Florida Is GUARANTEED To Beat Michigan In The Citrus Bowl

We don't necessarily condone gambling (where it's not legal, at least), but you can't go wrong with this next bowl pick. Here's 3 Reasons Why Florida Is GUARANTEED To Beat Michigan In The Citrus Bowl.

3. Defense First

If Florida can keep this game low scoring, the team's defense has SO MANY top-tier talents and a battle of field position will naturally favor the Gators. We've got very little faith in the Michigan O right now (more on that in a sec), and we've got plenty of faith in a Florida defense that has plenty to prove after back-to-back losses.

2. Michigan Offense

The Wolverines got exposed on both sides of the ball in a 42-13 loss to Ohio State, and the weaknesses dredged up by the Buckeyes have been studied over and over by head coach Jim McElwain and his staff. Curb Michigan's running game and you can beat them handily. With RB Derrick Green out of the picture due to a personal matter, Florida's elite defense will have a great shot of doing that.

1. Pride Of The Gators

The offense has been a mess with Will Grier suspended, as QB Treon Harris just hasn't been able to hack it as the leader of the attack. However, this is still the SEC East champs who went 10-3 in the toughest college football conference around. A couple of bad weeks on offense doesn't erase that, and the team has plenty of incentive and has had plenty of time to make this Citrus Bowl trip count.
