2 More Florida Football Players, Including Starting RB, Suspended Saturday vs. Michigan For Debit Card Fraud

The Florida Gators have suspended running back Jordan Scarlett and wide receiver Rick Wells for Saturday's season opener against the Michigan Wolverines, the school announced.

Both of these suspensions are related to the debit card fraud scam that resulted in the suspension of seven other Florida football players earlier this offseason. The players made improper charges on their cost-of-attendance credit cards at the school bookstore and then sold those items for cash.

Scarlett is Florida's starting running back and ran for 889 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore last season. He and star receiver Antonio Callaway are the only suspended players that are starters for the Gators.
