Florida Atlantic women’s basketball tied a program record with 12 consecutive losses after falling to the University of North Texas 79-57 on Thursday night in Denton, TX. The previous mark was set back in the 2006-07 season, when the Owls were unable to win a game from Jan. 3 to Feb. 15.
After falling behind by five points at the half, the Owls (4-18, 0-11 Conference USA) were held to just 31 percent shooting in the second half, and were outscored by 17 points.
Freshman Alexis Shannon led the Owls with 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting from the field.
