Western Kentucky embarrasses FAU 52-3 as Owls lose 7th game in a row

For 20 seconds during the third quarter of Florida Atlantic's 52-3 loss to Western Kentucky on Saturday, coach Charlie Partridge stood stationary at the 25-yard line, his elbows flexed out and his hands pinned to his sides. He stared toward the south end zone, the latest forgettable scene during FAU's miserable season.

Partridge was digesting the Owls' newest misstep (allowing a 30-yard touchdown to WKU's Anthony Wales that opened a four-touchdown lead) and perhaps absorbing the finality of FAU's third consecutive losing season.

Partridge was viewing his team's seventh straight loss and the school's worst at home since it opened FAU Stadium in 2011.
