Florida Atlantic sophomore linebacker Jacob Douglas will be available for all of Saturday's game against UTEP after Conference USA reversed the targeting penalty levied against him during FAU's win over Rice.
The call came late in the fourth quarter after Douglas hit Rice receiver Nate German. Since the penalty occurred in the second half of the game, Douglas was supposed to be suspended for the first half of the next game. Instead, he will start the game.
"He's played a lot of football in a year and a half," defensive coordinator Roc Bellantoni said.
