Florida Atlantic softball traveled to Las Vegas over the weekend to take part in the Alexis Park Resort Classic, where it would win four out of its five games and improve to 17-2 on the season.
Their lone loss of the weekend was to the No. 7 team in the country, the University of Oregon Ducks. The Owls led that game going into the final inning, but were unable to shut the Ducks’ offense down.
Southern Utah University, the University of Nevada Las Vegas, New Mexico State University and Drake University all fell victim to the Owls during the tournament.
