Owls' shifted secondary moves Shelton Lewis between cornerback and safety

At times during Florida Atlantic's 52-3 loss to Western Kentucky on Saturday, the Owls shifted cornerback Shelton Lewis to strong safety as part of a matchup the coaching staff saw against the Hilltoppers.

Sophomore Herb Miller started in Lewis' vacated spot at cornerback. Freshman Chris Tooley also saw time at cornerback during the game, some of the first extended game action he's seen this season.

"Tooley actually played really well," defensive coordinator Roc Bellantoni said. "Tooley had a great day. I'd like to see more of him, but it's going to have to be within the realm of helping us win the game, not just 'Hey, let's look at some young guys.
