Redshirt junior receiver Kalib Woods led the Florida Atlantic offense Saturday with nine catches for 121 yards in the Owls' loss to Miami. It was a breakout performance for Woods, who had as many catches as the rest of the team combined.
Eight other Owls caught passes Saturday, but only one had more than one catch (Tavaris "Pico" Harrison) and only one had more than 8 receiving yards (Tyler Cameron with 17).
In the season-opening win over Southern Illinois, five Owls had multiple catches and only one finished with single-digit receiving yards.
"It just worked out that [Woods] was getting the touches," quarterback Jason Driskel said.
