Owls Establish New Record in Loss to Wildcats

Kansas State looked to avenge a season opening loss to Stanford, and had a full two weeks to prepare for their matchup against Florida Atlantic.

On Saturday it showed, as the Wildcats handed FAU its worst loss in program history at the hands of a 63-7 drubbing. The final tally eclipsed a 66-10 loss to Louisville set during the 2005 season.

"Obviously disappointed in how the game went, it goes without saying,” said head coach Charlie Partridge. “To give away three turnovers there in the first half put us in a bad hole going into halftime."

On the game’s opening possession, the Owls (1-2) took the ball from their own 8-yard line to the Kansas State 37, but were stopped and forced to punt.
