On the first day of preseason camp on Thursday morning, Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin said he thought the Owls tired in the second half of practice because they expended too much energy early on.
On Friday, for the second session of fall, Kiffin said he saw a calmer team.
“I thought guys came out with a better mindset today, which I think is normal sometimes because the first day, the nerves, being anxious,” Kiffin said. “So a good lesson for our guys to learn as we talk about when we get closer to games, conserving energy, focusing on the game, not on other things.
