Old Dominion uses second-half surge to beat FAU, 42-24

Old Dominion's Jeremy Cox slung his left shoulder toward the ground, his target Florida Atlantic cornerback Raekwon Williams and his intentions were clear. Cox collided with Williams at the Monarchs' 19-yard line and the confrontation took place across two yards, ending with Williams on his back.

Williams was the last Owl to touch Cox, who finished the play in the end zone for an 84-yard score, a touchdown that sealed FAU's eventual 42-24 loss to Old Dominion on Saturday night. The loss snapped Florida Atlantic's two-game winning streak.

Cox's touchdown highlighted a dominant second-half for Old Dominion, which overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to score 29 of the game's 32 second-half points.
