With six commits in its 2017 recruiting class, Florida Atlantic looked to expand that number Monday with the first of two football camps this week.
Coach Charlie Partridge and FAU hosted an estimated 300 high school prospects Monday and shortly after landed commitment No. 7 in Louisiana dual-threat quarterback Justice McCoy.
FAU's top-rated commit is Daewood Davis. The Deerfield Beach three-star receiver has 20-plus scholarship offers. The 6-foot-1 standout had been committed to Syracuse before switching to the Owls.
