No. 21 FAU upends top-ranked Miami baseball team

They're separated by 52 miles and feature rosters filled with local South Florida standouts.

So it's no surprise that when they meet, no matter their rankings or records, Miami and FAU tend to play some hotly contested baseball games.

This most recent meeting was no different, with it ultimately being decided in the bottom of the ninth as FAU's Cameron Ragsdale retired all three Miami hitters he faced to close out a 4-3 win over the top-ranked Hurricanes.

For Miami, the loss was the first in a midweek game this season. The Hurricanes had won nine straight midweek games, including seven wins at Mark Light Field.
