When Brian White was first hired as Florida Atlantic’s athletic director, one of the first things he noticed was an increased interest in his Twitter page.
Shortly after the announcement, Owls football coach and social-media sensation Lane Kiffin sent out a congratulatory message. A portion of the tweet read, “Welcome Brian to owl nation!!! Thanks for coming to #thefaU.”
“I’ve talked to Lane a few times. We have not talked about his Twitter,” White said, laughing. “I will say selfishly Lane sent me a very nice tweet when I decided to come here. I appreciate that.
