The Owls, who routinely start just two seniors on defense, have introduced four new starters — linebacker Jacob Douglas, cornerback Chris Tooley, safety Richie Kittles and defensive tackle Josh Kendall —in the past two weeks. The oldest is a redshirt sophomore.
Douglas, a sophomore who replaced the injured Nate Ozdemir at middle linebacker, has totaled 13 tackles in two weeks. But during FAU's 35-31 win over UTEP on Saturday, it was a tackle Douglas didn't make that caught people's attention.
