Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin came away pleased with Saturday’s scrimmage after he reviewed the tape from Miami, noting a “very physical” defense. The Owls did not tackle all the way to the ground.
“I thought the guys did a good job of understanding what we wanted to get done,” Kiffin said. “That it was a scrimmage but it wasn’t tackle. We came out of the scrimmage fairly healthy with that.”
Kiffin did not attend Saturday’s practice because of a death in the family. He was at Monday’s practice at FAU.
During the practice, the defense forced four turnovers and scored two touchdowns on 26 drives.
