Junior quarterback Jason Driskel started for Florida Atlantic on Saturday night against Buffalo after backing up sophomore Daniel Parr in the first three games of the season.
Driskel started 11 games last season, completing 61 percent of his passes for 2,415 yards, nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He played in nine games as a redshirt freshman in 2015. In last week’s win over Bethune-Cookman, he completed 4-of-6 passes for 15 yards in relief of Parr.
Having only completed four passes past the line of scrimmage last week, the Owls tried to get their vertical passing game going on their first series Saturday.
