Kiffin looks to fill FAU staff as Trickett reportedly leaves

Over the next month, Lane Kiffin’s job description is muddled. He will remain Alabama’s offensive coordinator through a national championship pursuit. But he’ll also assume some duties as Florida Atlantic’s newest coach.

Among the responsibilities: hiring a staff and calling recruits.

FAU already signed one recruit since Kiffin’s hiring — former Florida State quarterback De’Andre Johnson on Wednesday — though Johnson visited Boca Raton last week and was offered a scholarship by the existing staff. Wednesday was the first day junior college prospects can officially sign with schools.

FootballScoop.com reported Wednesday that FAU offensive coordinator Travis Trickett will join Georgia State’s staff in the same role.
