With a pair of goalline stands, the Florida Atlantic defense stonewalled Wisconsin’s offense on Saturday and prevented the Badgers from extending their lead.
The two stops inside the 2-yard line, plus two forced turnovers, helped keep the Owls in the game against a top-10 team on the road and assisted in masking the 564 yards of offense allowed.
“I think that guys really sucking it up and saying ‘We are going to stop these guys, regardless,’” FAU coach Lane Kiffin said. “Some of our guys give up 50 pounds to some guys. So, they played with a lot of heart.
