Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin was unsure how Hurricane Irma would affect the Owls’ travel plans for their road game at No. 9 Wisconsin this weekend.
“I don’t know all that yet,” Kiffin said. “Obviously, I’m not a weatherman, so I just listen to what they say and I guess there’s a potential that we could get stuck up there. Potential of flying back somewhere more north like Orlando, I guess, and driving down. We’ll just do whatever they tell us to do.”
As of Tuesday’s 2 p.m. advisory, Irma was a Category 5 hurricane expected to impact South Florida as early as Friday evening, with effects lasting Saturday and Sunday.
