FAU (1-7, 0-4) had two full weeks to prepare for their toughest C-USA opponent in 2016 but it did not show as they were embarrassed 52-3 in Saturday's Homecoming game. It was the worst home loss in program history.
The Hilltoppers point tally was the third most for the year, and was enabled by the Owls' allowance of a season high 661 yards defensively. Florida Atlantic's three points on offense was their lowest output on the year.
"We've got to keep growing up", said Coach Charlie Partridge on his post game radio show. "We're still a very young program and we've got to keep the young guys coming along.
