Now that the Florida Atlantic Owls are experiencing success, they have to deal with popularity.
Former New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi was the latest celebrity to hop aboard the bandwagon when he attended Wednesday’s practice. FAU coach Lane Kiffin sparked a friendship with Girardi when he was the Alabama offensive coordinator.
“It was good having Joe out there,” Kiffin said. “He’s coming to the game Saturday night. Hopefully we’ll put a good show on for him.”
Girardi joins a list of big names who have attended an Owls practice or game this season.
