The firing of Florida Atlantic head football coach Charlie Partridge has led several players to make their opinions heard on Twitter.
Players who suited up for Partridge often noted the atmosphere that the former coach brought to the program. Freshman running back referred to Partridge as his “messiah” after committing to FAU and senior defensive end said the team felt more like a family than ever before.
Redshirt sophomore starting quarterback Jason Driskel and sophomore safety Andrew Soroh are two of several players who took to social media to express their displeasure of the move.
