ead coach Charlie Partridge named redshirt sophomore Jason Driskel the starter for Florida Atlantic football’s season opener against Southern Illinois on Sept. 3.
The announcement came from the Florida Atlantic sports website late Tuesday afternoon.

The newly-named starter appeared in 10 games in 2015. He led the Owls on a touchdown a touchdown in his first collegiate appearance against the University of Miami last September.
Coming up short against Driskel for the starting position was redshirt freshman Daniel Parr.
