Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin admitted preparing for the final regular season game was more difficult than expected.
He had a tough time getting players to focus on their 31-12 victory against Charlotte because of them thinking ahead to this weekend’s Conference USA championship game against North Texas.
“This week was a lot harder, looking ahead,” Kiffin said. “I don’t think keeping them locked in will be an issue.”
The Owls, who completed an undefeated season in league play, are hoping they can revert to their earlier form during the eight-game winning streak.
