Florida Atlantic to ask Conference USA for clarification on Sunday's final play

Twenty hours did little to heal the wounds opened by a reversed touchdown call on the final play of Florida Atlantic's 28-23 loss to Charlotte on Sunday afternoon.

In his weekly Monday morning press conference, Owls coach Charlie Partridge said the team would submit the play to Conference USA for clarification in a process that FAU goes through every week.

"We'll go through that normal process and usually hear by midweek," Partridge said.

In the play, Owls receiver Kamrin Solomon leaped to haul in quarterback Jason Driskel's desperation pass along the sideline in the end zone as time expired in the fourth quarter.
