Florida Atlantic hopeful offensive line gets healthy

Florida Atlantic coach Charlie Partridge said he hoped offensive linemen Kelly Parfitt and Roman Fernandez would return for Saturday's game against Ball State, but FAU would "see throughout the course of the week."

Parfitt missed FAU's 63-7 loss to Kansas State with an apparent knee injury suffered against Miami in the season's second game. Fernandez did not travel to Manhattan, Kan., because of an injury.

Parfitt and Fernandez were part of a rash of early injuries to the Owls offensive line. Left tackle Reggie Bain was lost for the season due to a preseason traffic accident. Antonyo Woods missed the season opener, and Matt Weiner left that game with an injury.
