BOCA RATON — Another “Last Chance U” star has made his way to Florida Atlantic, as former Independence C.C. co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Frank Diaz has officially joined the Owls as an offensive assistant.
Diaz, who previously worked as an offense undergraduate assistant at the University of Oregon under Chip Kelly, rose to fame this summer as the hit documentary series moved from East Mississippi Community College – the previous home of several FAU players and coaches – to Kansas’ Independence C.C.
Diaz told TMZ Sports last week that he was out of football and instead working at a grocery store when Kiffin offered him a job.
