When Florida Atlantic takes on Miami this Saturday, Owls coach Charlie Partridge hopes FAU can calm its emotions and avoid "mistakes of youth" that popped up against Southern Illinois in the opener.
Partridge said the Owls strayed from their technique at times during their 38-30 win, helping the Salukis take a lead into halftime.
"Some of our challenges that we had on Saturday night against Southern Illinois, some of things that didn't go our way, was because they were so emotional to play Southern Illinois," Partridge said.
Partridge said the Owls simply needed to get back to what they were trained to do.
