Running back Devin "Motor" Singletary broke the Florida Atlantic record for rushing touchdowns by a freshman during Saturday's game against UTEP.
Singletary, who entered the game with five touchdowns, scored on a 4-yard touchdown plunge and a 36-yard highlight run in the first half. The previous record was set by Trey Rodriguez last year, when he had five touchdowns.
Last week against Rice, Singletary broke FAU's single-game record for rushing yards in a game with 257.
Multiple interceptions
For the first time since FAU's 56-point loss to Kansas State, the Owls threw multiple interceptions on Saturday night.
