After Florida Atlantic nickel back Ocie Rose sealed the Owls' 35-31 win over UTEP on Saturday with a last-minute interception, defensive coordinator Roc Bellantoni celebrated by lifting him over his shoulder.
How heavy was Rose?
"Not as heavy as he was before the game," Bellantoni joked. "Adrenaline takes over."
Rose now has three takeaways in FAU's last two games, with an interception and fumble recovery against Rice as well. Last year, as a freshman, Rose had three interceptions and two fumble recoveries, setting the stage for a productive sophomore campaign.
But Rose struggled to get on track, hindered by injuries that limited his practice time and affected his performance on Saturdays.
