Florida Atlantic junior running back Gregory "Buddy" Howell broke another long touchdown run, this time a 68-yard sprint Saturday on FAU's second play from scrimmage against Florida International.
The 68-yard burst was Howell's career long and was his fifth touchdown of the season. His other touchdowns went for 48, 37, 38 and 1 yards. His career-long run entering this season was just 30 yards.
Howell finished the first half with 106 yards on 10 carries. Earlier this week, Florida Atlantic coach Charlie Partridge talked about Howell's arsenal that includes both long carries and runs for little gain.
