BOCA RATON – Florida Atlantic’s Trey Hendrickson, a senior defensive end, and senior punter Dalton Schomp have been named the 2016 Conference USA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and Co-Special Team’s Player of the Year, respectively, as announced by the league office today.
The duo ended their junior campaigns as first team all-conference selections and this honor, as selected by the league coaches, is an affirmation of the type of season they are expected to have.
“Trey and Dalton have performed at a level that has earned the respect of the coaches in this league,” said Charlie Partridge, FAU’s head football coach.
