FAU's CJ Chatham chosen by Red Sox in second round

Florida Atlantic shortstop CJ Chatham accomplished just about everything possible throughout his collegiate career.

On Thursday, his efforts were rewarded.

Chatham was selected by Boston Red Sox with 51st overall pick in the second round of the Major League Baseball Draft. He became the highest-drafted player in school history. Chatham surpassed outfielder Jeff Fiorentino, who was taken in the third round (No. 79 overall) by the Baltimore Orioles in 2004 and has since retired.
