Florida Atlantic offensive lineman Antonyo Woods and receiver Nate Terry did not play in Saturday's opener against Southern Illinois for reasons that were not disclosed during the game.
Both were projected starters in the preseason and were spotted on the sidelines in shorts and a jersey without pads. Woods did not practice during the sessions open to the media Tuesday or Wednesday morning.
Matt Weiner started in place of Woods at right guard while Jakobi Smith also received snaps at the position. With Woods' absence along the line, the Owls rolled out a starting unit that had just one player (right tackle Kelly Parfitt) in the same position as he was a week ago.
