Two areas of concern for Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin were third-down efficiency and penalties.
After Saturday’s 58-28 victory at Old Dominion, Kiffin knows the Owls are at least listening to his advice. The problem areas were non-existent as they evened their record at 3-3 and are 2-0 in Conference USA for the first time in school history.
“This team is growing,” Kiffin told ESPN West Palm radio after Saturday’s game. “They’re not making as many mistakes. When you do that, you give yourself a chance to win games.”
The Owls had just five penalties for 65 yards and also went 13 of 22 on third downs.
