FAU shortstop Chatham named C-USA Player of the Year

Florida Atlantic junior shortstop CJ Chatham was named the Conference USA Player of the Year on Tuesday.

In addition to also making the All-Conference first team for the second year in the row, Chatham was also named the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year.

Chatham is batting .373 with 47 runs, 47 RBI, 17 doubles, four triples and a .439 on-base percentage – all team highs. He also hit seven home runs and is slugging .578 with two sacrifice flies.

Owls starting pitchers Brandon Rhodes and Marc Stewart and closer Cameron Ragsdale earned Second Team All-Conference honors while catcher Tyler Frank and pitcher Nick Swan were named to the All-Freshman Team.
